On East River Road in Brighton, a motorbike rider perished in a two-car collision.

Just before 9:30 p.m., Dustin Rich, 24, of Batavia was travelling west on East River Road on a motorbike when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with an SUV leaving the I-390 off-ramp, according to Brighton Police Chief David Catholdi. The collision caused Rich to pass away, he claimed.

Two children, aged 6 and 7, were among the four passengers in the SUV who sustained minor wounds and were brought to Strong Memorial Hospital for care.

In relation to the collision, no charges were brought, he stated. The crossroads is close to Genesee Valley Park and is located just south of the motorway.
