Fallen Omaha Marine welcomed in streets

Thousands of people lined the streets of Omaha to welcome the body of a Marine that died in Afghanistan.

Corporal Daniel Page, 23, was one of the 13 U.S. service members who died in the Kabul Airport Bombing, injuring 169 others.


Page’s body was airlifted to Eppley Airfield, then transported to Braman Mortuary in southwest Omaha.

A memorial service will be held on September 17.


Page was born in Omaha and lived his first five years in Red Rock, Iowa before returning back to the city.

He graduated from Milland South High School in 2016, then enlisted the following year.
