The 22-year-old was discovered in a rough region near Interstate 37 and Loop 1604 on the city’s extreme Southeast Side.

How did The Incident happen?

According to San Antonio police, the individual was with a group of pals who went to the river late Wednesday night.

He and another man are said to have gone off on their own to wade in the lake and fish, but they became lost.

When the duo did not return, the remainder of the group got anxious and requested assistance.

Police said that at some time, one of the men returned to the group and directed rescuers to the other guy, who was too tired to climb out of the rough terrain on his own.

According to reports, the man merely received minor wounds on his foot.

Family members who arrived at the rescue scene told KSAT12 that they were happy he was safe, but also exhausted after being awake all night.
