According to officials, a San Antonio police officer was injured and a 39-year-old man was slain in a shooting that also involved a second cop.
According to Police Chief William McManus, an officer investigating allegations of a disturbance and a guy with a pistol on Friday witnessed the armed man escape the scene on a bicycle.
A second officer confronted the suspect a few blocks away and was injured in the leg during a gunfight with him, according to McManus. The individual was then confronted by the first police, who fatally shot him.
According to a police news release, the injured officer remained hospitalized Saturday in unknown condition.
No names have been disclosed, and police did not respond to a phone call seeking comment on Saturday.
